Topics of Interest<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 19th Learning and Intelligent Optimization conference is exploring the intersections and uncharted territories between machine learning, artificial intelligence, mathematical programming and algorithms for hard optimization problems, and bringing together experts from these areas to discuss new ideas and methods, challenges and opportunities in various application areas, general trends and specific developments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We welcome contributions on all LION themes, i.e., topics related to operations research, learning and intelligent optimization, including but not limited to exact and heuristic optimization techniques, artificial intelligence for designing and improving algorithms, algorithm configuration, evolutionary algorithms for robust performance, optimization techniques for improving machine learning models, and applications of intelligent optimization for real-world problems. We also encourage submissions of surveys and future-oriented papers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We invite submissions presenting new and original research on all topics related and relevant to the conference. All papers will be reviewed in a single-blind process and accepted papers will be presented at the conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special Sessions<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to submissions about general LION themes, we also welcome submissions related to one of our special sessions. The special sessions will be part of the regular conference and are subject to the same peer-review as all other submissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special session 1: (Deep) Reinforcement Learning in OR Optimization<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paper Format<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can submit original and unpublished work either as a long paper (12-15 pages, including references) or short paper (6-11 pages, including references). Papers must be submitted in PDF and in English, using the LNCS template:  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
